Can You Hear Me Now

At 1,410 miles long, passing through seven states and nine national parks, the Colorado River certainly lives up to its “mighty” moniker.
From the cool Channel Islands and boiling-hot Death Valley to the bone-dry Joshua Tree and lush Yosemite, have a look at some photos from these incredible landscapes and then plan a trip to take your own!
Whether it’s atop a rocky crag overlooking an immense valley of ancient forests; meandering through bloom-soaked meadows alive with bees and birds; or along the ragged roaring beaches of the Pacific Ocean, the three parks offer intrepid travelers a thoughtful journey.
“I have always said I would not have been President had it not been for my experience in North Dakota. It was here that the romance of my life began.”
There’s a whole different world, a completely unique perspective to gain from the national parks if you stay at night.
For travelers who enjoy itinerary-less trips and technology-free adventures, these forms of spontaneity may be shrinking.
From the sticky-crunchy sweetness of biting into a s’more to the embers’ mesmerizing glow, not many experiences compare to sitting out under the stars around a crackling campfire.
Today, there are 63 national parks across the United States. Forty-six of them are in the West. This should be no surprise to anyone who knows and loves this region.
